WhatsApp’s Android beta update often shows small and big changes. In that case, in the new beta version of the app (version 220.127.116.11) the instant messaging platform was seen to test the new in-app camera interface. This new UIT seems to offer a redesigned switch camera button by changing the position of the flash shortcut.
However, not only for the camera, this update also introduces a new message delete setting for group administrators, allowing them to enjoy more power from members. Let’s find out in detail about these two new features of WhatsApp.
WhatsApp Beater’s new camera interface
According to a report by WABetaInfo, the beta (18.104.22.168) version of WhatsApp has found references to new designs of in-app cameras. Beta testers will not yet see this feature; However, a screenshot shared by WhatsApp’s feature tracker company shows that the new change has moved the Flash shortcut from the bottom left to the top right corner, and the switch camera button is seen in a circular shade.
In another report, WABetaInfo reports that WhatsApp is bringing an extension to its group admins, the ‘Delete for Everyone’ option, which was launched in 2016. This extension or new setting will give admins indirect control over a member’s message, allowing them to delete or remove any message for all users in the group.
Those whose messages will thus be removed through the ‘Delete for Everyone’ option will see an in-app notice from the admin that the message has been removed. Basically this feature can prevent fake news and misinformation messages.
In this context, it is not yet clear exactly when these two features will be available for use. Hopefully beta users will be able to access these soon. Then after a few months the feature pair will appear for all users.
